MESSAGE TO STUDENTS AND ESSAY MILL WRITERS
The FIU Student Conduct and Honor Code define plagiarism as “The deliberate use and appropriation of another’s work without any indication of the source and the representation of such work as the Student’s own.” Submitting the work of someone else as your own work is plagiarism. This is a serious instance of Academic Misconduct by the student. In Florida, Essay Mill/Contract Cheating sellers are in violation of Florida Statute 877.17: “It shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to sell, offer to sell, or advertise for sale any term paper, thesis, dissertation, essay, or report”
Florida Statute 877.17: It shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to sell, offer to sell, or advertise for sale any term paper, thesis, dissertation, essay, or report or any written, recorded, pictorial, artistic, or other assignment which the seller or advertiser knew or reasonably should have known was intended for submission by a student, unaltered to any substantial degree, in fulfillment of the requirements for a degree, diploma, certificate, course of study at a university, college, academy, school, or other educational institution in the state.
FIU Honors College: “Any Honors College student that is found responsible for an Academic Misconduct Violation will be dismissed from the Honors College immediately upon notification of findings.”

Any Honors College student that is found responsible for an Academic Misconduct Violation will be dismissed from the Honors College immediately upon notification of findings.
In addition, all webpages of any student guilty of Academic Misconduct will be deleted from this website.
