SAINTE-CHAPELLE “Built in seven years, an impressive feat, the Sainte-Chapelle was intended to house precious Christian relics, including Christ’s crown of thorns, acquired by Saint Louis. In having these sacred relics in his possession, the already powerful monarch became the head of western Christianity. Arranged across 15 windows, each 15 metres high, the stained glass panes depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments recounting the history of the world until the arrival of the relics in Paris.” (

FORMAT Students will go on a tour of Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, France. Following the tour, each student will select one aspect of Sainte-Chapelle to reflect upon. The subject selected can be a person, object, place, or event.

SHARING Projects will be posted on a social media public forum, which will enable the host institution to engage student perceptions.
